Wild Breath is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs men's off-grid outdoor retreats in California's Eastern Sierra. The retreats help men reset, recharge, and reconnect through camping, hiking, wilderness skills, shared meals, and honest conversation. These are educational personal-development programs, not clinical or therapy services.
Wild Breath is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity that hosts men's off-grid outdoor retreats. Our work is educational personal development — building leadership, resilience, brotherhood, and connection through time spent outdoors with other men. We are not a clinical, medical, or therapy provider.
Retreats are held in California's Eastern Sierra, primarily in and around Inyo National Forest and nearby public lands. We operate at designated campsites and wilderness areas under the appropriate permits, and we follow Leave No Trace principles to protect the land we use.
A Wild Breath retreat runs about 3.5 days. Activities include group hikes, facilitated conversations, wilderness skills, shared meals, and reflection and mindfulness practices. That is the full scope — no other activities are offered.
Wild Breath retreats are for adult men from all backgrounds who want to grow in leadership, resilience, brotherhood, and connection. We welcome participants regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, disability, or age. Wild Breath is non-political.
100% of participants receive scholarships, awarded on a sliding-scale basis. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Programs are funded entirely by donations and grants.
